1.. Gettin' By - Jerry Jeff Walker Jerry Jeff's music has had a very big influence on me. This is usually our first song of the night A silly little song that just happens to be a perfect description of my life and my music.

2. Come From the Heart* -Susanna Clark/Richard Leigh Another song with a life message, written by Guy Clark's wife.

3. Doctor My Eyes* -Jackson Browne

The beauty of having your own band and only performing in the clubs you choose, is that you can play as many Jackson Browne songs as you like.

4. Early in the Morning** - L. Jordan/L. Hickman/D. Barley

I picked this up off an old Louis Jordan album. The blues were a big part of my teens and I was lucky enough to see some great live shows by Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, and Johnny Winter. You can't play in a club without doing some blues.

5. Fly By Night* - Nanci Griffith

Nanci Griffith has been my favourite singer-songwriter since discovering her music in the late 80's. Her music touches me in a very special way. It seems like it was written for just me to sing.

6. You Turn Me On I'm A Radio* - Joni Mitchell

A great Canadian folk song.

7. Willie and the Hand Jive** -J. Otis/ B. Long/ E.Lightborn

We call this one, "Big Noise from Niagara", featuring a duet with me and the great Penner MacKay pounding on my bass strings with his drum sticks.

8. Weekends With the Local Fringe** - S. Goldberger/H. Brinsmead/ D.S. Karr

Yes, an original song about our crazy friends and wonderful wacky life in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Written one wild night with my wife Dory Karr and our good friend Heather Brinsmead.

9. Damn Your Eyes* - Barbara Wyrick/Steve Bogard

Another fabulous Etta James blues standard that I learned while working with local Toronto singer Gayle Ackroyd.

10. It Takes A lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry* -Bob Dylan

I get to play some guitar once in a while and Eric blows a mean harp on this one. Sorry Mr. Dylan, I forgot one verse that night.

11. Last of the True Believers* - The Nanci Griffith song that got me hooked.

12. Old Weakness* - G. Nicholson/B. DiPiero

I've done several Delbert McLinton songs over the years. This is a more recent one.

13. Heard it Through the Grapevine** - Norman Whitfield/Barrett Strong

I am so lucky to work with such fabulous musicians. Eric Mahar, Dave Norris and I have worked in many bands together since the late 1980's. Eric is a wonderful singer and this song features his vocal mastery on a night when his new girlfriend was in the audience for the first time. He's gonna kill me for saying this, but he was truly in rare form that night!

14. The Joker** -S. Miller/E. Curtis/A. Ertegun

"People say I'm doin' this song all wrong!" Do I care? Also, note a little bit of Jackson Browne at the end.

15. Yard Bird Suite* - Charlie Parker

We like to venture into a little jazz instrumental every once in a while. Unfortunately the tape ran out on this one.

Steve Oprici for dubiously dubbing me a "fringe local" Rod Hillier for excellent work in building The Shed Studio, and Derek Haliski, Steve Oprici, Herb and all the others for your help. Hank Wissenz, Craig Roberts and James Brown for giving me other opportunities to make music with my friends My brother Larry, for covering for me at the office and Lois Hall and Heather Jackson, for screening my calls. Bernie & Jennie, for your support and patience and most of all to Dory Karr for your background vocals and loving support over the past 25 years through thick and thin. You've endured being the wife of a musician and even so, you still constantly encourage me to go for it.
